I'm a bit of a fuckin militant, i don't really like people doing covers of my favorite bands, i usually think they fuck em up but then The Happy Mondays are a favorite band of mine and i think this cover is the fuckin shit.
Watch Shaun in the interview beforehand trying not to swear. Apparently Shaun has the dubious distinction of being the only person who is actually mentioned by name in the Channel 4 code of practise

I watched that when it was aired completely shite, and obviously planned unlike the Pistols on Grundy. It's not the Happy Mondays either it's Black Grape and Ryder just comes across as a complete moron. I am a fan of the Mondays/Grape also but that was just pathetic. |

I agree, i think them doing Belsen on TGRRW, Substitute, Satellite & I Wannabe Me are the best...probably cuz i've ragged Nevermind the Bollocks into the fucking ground and by virtue of that fact those other mentioned songs are, relatively (and i use the term loosely cuz i've ragged them too) fresh to me. |
