But it's something you never full "kick". It's an ongoing battle...a struggle that never ends. You have periods of sobriety and then periods of relapse. That's the life of an addict. Ups and downs...highs and crushing lows.

But I will say, my life has improved in many ways since kicking this time. I say "this time" because there were dozens of times before this one that I kicked and went right back to it because the cravings and obsession were too much for me to handle.

Heroin is kinda like that bad girlfriend you know you shouldn't be messing about with. But the sex is so good, you see her again and again and you tell yourself you won't anymore. She's so sweet sometimes and other times so unbelievably cruel. You love her and hate her. She's a predator posing as a housepet.

But today I am clean, and for this I am grateful. But it still aint no walk in the park, thats for damn sure.
